Terex GB

Terex GB Ltd is a global manufacturer of lifting and material handling equipment based in Coalville, Leicestershire.

We, Prime Solutions were asked by Terex GB Ltd to provide refurbishment services to a circa 1930’s two-storey building which provides canteen, training rooms, toilets and shower facilities for the adjacent factory.

The work started with the strip out of the existing fittings, partitions and finishes. The first-floor areas were reconfigured to form a larger canteen along with a new larger training room with an addition of a moveable wall to enable the space to be used as two smaller rooms or one larger room. New lighting and a suspended ceiling were installed in all areas, new kitchen units and appliances were added. New partitions of solid, glazed and moveable were constructed. Full decoration along with new flooring was carried out.

Alterations to the existing heating system were undertaken. The air conditioning was replaced and mechanical ventilation was introduced to the inner rooms. The first-floor toilets have been reconfigured in layout, with the addition of new sanitaryware and associated pipework added; new WC cubicles, new vanity units with splashbacks, new safety flooring and complete decoration.

On the ground floor, the changing rooms, toilets and shower areas had new lighting, new suspended ceilings, new sanitaryware and associated pipework, new WC cubicles, new vanity units with splashbacks, new hygienic walls to the shower areas.  Mechanical extraction was added. Fresh air was introduced via fire rated air transfer grills to the new changing room entrance doors. All areas were redecorated and new safety flooring installed.
