Calthorpe Estates

General refurbishment both internally and externally of two storey grade 2 listed office building. The building is built over a railway tunnel and a canal tunnel, so in its existing state it had severe cracking to its external walls and to some internal spine walls. Our remit was to repair the cracks to a structural engineers brief and to repair the render; provide a new roof; carry out timber and glass repairs to the windows and to completely redecorate externally.

Further works comprised of new M & E services in the form of heating, lighting, small power and fire alarm installations. New floor finishes throughout, a careful and considerate decoration package including plaster and cornice repairs and a purpose made oak handrail to suit the existing curved metal balustrade to the main staircase. Externally new car parks were formed together with new landscaped areas.
